Farsley Community Orchard

Established in March 2016, the community came out in force to plant Farsley’s Orchard.

Since then we have cared for and learnt all about our trees. We have also planted a hedgerow, daffodils and had a go at a wild meadow (people were worried the aliens were coming).

We have also created a bug hotel and installed some benches so people can spend some time enjoying the open space.

We hold regular events both at the orchard and also around the village including pruning days, blossom picnics and apple days. We also introduced a new generation to Apple Bobbing at the Farsley Festival in 2016!

Always looking for volunteers to get involved and bring new ideas to the party.

A Farsley Community initiative Project.
